Worked in on unbleached linen with coloured silks this exquisitely stitched band form sampler has as it's central feature two tablet boards with The Lord' 's Prayer, The Creed and The Ten Commandments. Stitches include cross, gobelin, satin and eyelet.
A very similar sampler to this one is in the collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. Collection No T56 - 1948.
