Ann Robson came from Darlington and with her sister attended York School, a Quaker boarding school for girls in York. Two other identical maps of Ireland, also dated 1810 are in the collection of what is now known as The Mount School, York. Worked with coloured silks on a smooth satin- weave silk ground.
