Witney Restorations Ltd. has, for over twenty years, been restoring fine antique furniture. Roy Woollen, who has been with the company for sixteen years and has managed the workshop for the last eight years, he was trained at West Dean College. Joy Jarrett and Rebecca Scott, acknowledged experts, can give advice on the restoration and conservation of your antique embroidery. Furniture. We can restore furniture made from exotic woods as well as the more usual mahogany, oak, walnut and rosewood. We can copy old handles, where one or more maybe missing from a piece, and custom make locks, so often missing from antique furniture. We can draw on our valuable resource of old timbers to restore areas of missing crossbanding and small areas of damaged veneers. Our services also include the restoration of papier mache and furniture with brass inlay and marquetry. Embroidery. We offer an outstanding service for the conservation of embroidery.
