We can restore furniture made from exotic woods as well as the more usual mahogany, oak, walnut and rosewood. We can copy old handles, where one or more maybe missing from a piece, and custom make locks, so often missing from antique furniture. We can draw on our valuable resource of old timbers to restore areas of missing crossbanding and small areas of damaged veneers. Our services also include the restoration of papier mache and furniture with brass inlay and marquetry.
We offer an outstanding service for the conservation of embroidery. Poor conservation can be very damaging to antique textiles and the greatest care is taken with every commission.
